Music is one of the most important parts of the Grace and Holy Trinity Cathedral ministry. Through music we worship God and bring ourselves closer to the holy mysteries that bring us together. Canon John L. Schaefer, GHTC’s Director of Music since 1976 (left), directs several choirs, including ensembles for adults, children and handbells. For many, the musical centerpiece is the Gabriel Kney organ that was installed in 1981. The organ has recently undergone refurbishing, and we are now enjoying even better sounds!
