As the number of young families in our Cathedral has grown over the last seven years, we have tripled the size of the nursery to respond to the needs of our parishioners, visitors and potential new members.
The Cathedral is committed to having childcare available whenever needed so that our members can fully participate in Cathedral services, meetings and events without the added expense of childcare.
Church School is offered during the 10:15 service, with the children joining their families for worship during the Passing of the Peace.
Classes are taught by a dedicated and faithful group of trained volunteers.
The lectionary-based Church School curriculum is designed to teach the basics of Christian faith, with an emphasis on Episcopal doctrine and practice.
A high priority is continuing the development of ministries to serve the needs of our youth, grades seven through twelve. Currently, the teenagers of our Cathedral meet on Wednesday nights for fun and fellowship, and we have witnessed a steady increase in this group as the Cathedral youth invite their friends to attend. In addition to their weekly meetings, our teenagers have participated in a variety of mission trips, fundraisers, lock-ins, and Happenings.
Children's classrooms each have their own altar.
