Youth Formation

Trinity Teens Youth Group
Wednesday Evenings (1st and 3rd weeks of the month)

Engage

The Trinity Teens are a young microcosm of the Church. In a safe but challenging atmosphere, youth engage in topics of faith and world issues, exploring various realities of their own world and the world beyond them in the context of God’s call to all of humanity.

Regular group meeting are the first and third Wednesdays of each month from 6:45 to 8:30 p.m.. We begin with a shared meal and build community through team building games and activities. We engage in discussions that relate our growing faith to the world we live in. The outcome of these discussions is not a prescribed answer, but rather explores their complexity and nuance. Engage helps youth to risk, to celebrate and to gather around a well asked question, rather than trying to pin safe, easy answers to the complex issues of our time.

All youth share the meal and participate in beginning activities as a whole group. Groups are then divided into age groups for discussion, and then we come together to finish the evening with worship.

Weekly Sunday Formation

Form and Re:Form
Faith already established is built on and stretched, providing space for greater depth and substance. Youth between 6th and 8th grade meet in “West Hall,” at the southwest corner of Haden Hall. Preparation for confirmation is creatively blended with fun, topical explorations of what being Episcopalian, of being Christian can look like today.

Exhale
Youth between 9th and 12th grade meet in the Youth Room, also in Haden Hall. In a fun, low key environment, youth “de-compress” with their peers and mentors. Challenges of school, relationships, their future, etc. are put in conversation with biblical teaching to strengthen awareness of God’s presence here and now.
